LAST month I spent a couple of days in Albania to take part in a conservation milestone that declared Europe’s first conservation milestone. Wild River National Park. Rising in Greece and flowing by way of Albania to the Adriatic, the Vjosa river is Europe’s final free-flowing river, that means it’s not blocked from supply to sea by dams or synthetic shores.
