Meat produced from cultured cells might be 25 instances worse for the local weather than common beef, except scientists discover methods to overtake the energy-intensive steps in its manufacturing.
Lab-grown or “cultivated” meat is made by rising animal stem cells round a scaffold in a nutrient-rich broth. It has been proposed as a gentler and greener different to traditional meat as a result of it makes use of much less land, feed, water and antibiotics than animal farming, and eliminates the necessity to elevate and slaughter livestock.
