Within the Vietnam class, Thien Nguyen Ngoc took first place with a peaceful shot of a sea turtle and diver swimming in concord off the coast of Malaysia’s Perhentian Islands (pictured above). Under is Bangladesh’s successful entry, captured by Protap Shekhor Mohanto – the yellow eyes of a noticed owl peeking out from its tree trunk nest within the nation’s Nationwide Botanical Backyard.
One other dramatic eye characteristic in the principle picture is that of a red-eyed tree frog in its rainforest dwelling in Costa Rica, this time by Manuel Rodriguez, who was shortlisted within the Latin America class.
Andres Novales de Guatemala made this shortlist for the ominous shot of a crocodile (pictured above) on the muddy banks of the Usumacinta river in direction of the top of Guatemala’s wet season. This can be a reassuring sight as crocodiles are an necessary indicator of a wholesome ecosystem.
The awards additionally paid tribute to some dazzling pure sights. The above photograph of Huazheng Hong is Singapore winner. It captured the large scale of the Ilulissat icebergs off Greenland. The picture under is a shortlisted shot of Vlatko Rafeski from North Macedonia. From the Dolomites mountain vary in Italy, with the two-headed peak of Peitlerkofel within the background.
The awards can be on show at Somerset Home in London from 14 April to 1 Could.
